The Scorpion Car Exhaust Cat-Back System (Non-Resonated) – Volkswagen Golf MK5 GTI & Edition 30 2004 – 2009 is part of the latest Scorpion Exhausts collection. This dyno developed high flow cat back system is available in several options. Cat back resonated, cat back none resonated both of which are available with either highly polished twin 83mm Daytona tailpipes or twin 83mm black ceramic coated Daytona tailpipes. This 76mm/3” product has been designed for maximum performance and has been tested on both standard and tuned GTI’s before releasing it to market. To complement our cat-back system we’re also introducing two turbo-back front pipes. The first replace’s the O.E downpipe and catalyst for ultimate flow rate and performance, the second replace’s the O.E catalyst with a more efficient high flow 200 cell sport catalyst. Both products have been designed to be interchangeable with either the Scorpion or O.E system and both products have been developed in 76mm T304 stainless steel. CAT-BACK SYSTEM (NON-RESONATED) A catalyst is a key component in emission control. It is also the most restrictive component of an exhaust. Our sports catalysts increase the gas flow while maintaining filtration rates. Our de-cats simply replace the catalyst altogether for the ultimate flow rate.
